Tim Christie – King Congo

One of 25 signed limited edition prints on canvas by emerging international artist Tim Christie titled “King Congo”. Signed and comes with COA issued by the artist.

Each piece is digitally-generated using sourced imagery and computer-aided illustration. The underlying images are out of focus, so the diagonal black and white lines transition from thin to heavy in a seamless linear flow. The product images demonstrate the recommended style of framing for the artwork, which is not included in the price. The artwork is printed on quality canvas, stretched and sprayed with an acrylic UV coat after printing to prevent fading. Canvasses are gallery shrink-wrapped and sent in a roll to ensure safe delivery. Stretching services are available on request if needed.

Tim Christie is a New Zealand-based designer, artist and entrepreneur. He has developed some of New Zealand’s most iconic brands, and his work was featured in New Zealand and Australian design awards and has been published internationally. As the mastermind behind the fashion-forward concept MONOMOKO, Tim Christie combines digital illustration and paint to create anthropomorphic images that fuse age-old tradition with modern technology. Describing his work as a fusion of digital abstraction and pop art, graphic designer Tim explains that he wishes to explore the synthesis of a geometric aesthetic and organic symmetry.

Tim is relatively new to the world of fine art, first exhibiting at the 2017 New Zealand Art Show where he sold all but one piece on the opening night. In the last two shows, he has farewelled over 40 pieces including light-boxes and limited edition prints. He has since been involved in numerous local events including solo shows, exhibitions and auctions.

Last year Tim won the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for an international art competition that attracted over 1,000 artists worldwide. He has also shown in a number of other international destinations including Sydney, Hong Kong and Manchester. In a short space of time, Tim has experienced rapid success with his work adorning the walls of collectors not only from New Zealand, but also UK, Australia, USA, Canada and many others.
